As a varietal recognized in the Paso Robles growing region for its distinctive qualities, this Syrah offers a fine display of bright blueberry fruit, along with welcome peppery notes enhanced by aging in small French oak barrels.
Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is bolder than ever with black-fruit focused aromatics, a rich, velvety mouth feel balanced by a palate of juicy plum; lush and complex layers of espresso, black pepper, chocolate and black currant; pairs perfectly with steak au poivre or beef rib eye and parmesan polenta cake.
The latest incarnation of Summerland's flagship Rhone-style blend benefits from the addition of Petite Sirah. Trio is inspired by the rustic, expressive and complex wines from the Southern Rhone of France.
Located in the heart of the Santa Rita Hills appellation, Fiddlestix Vineyard encompasses some of the finest cool climate Pinot Noir grown on the Central Coast. A gorgeous nose of baking spices and plums, graced by a touch of dried flowers and incense. Its ample acids lend firmness and length. Great homogeneous structure on a base of beautiful oak, the 2015 Fiddlestix has a finish, which is persistent and complex with graceful tannins. Aging took place in 100% François Frères cooperage from a variety of forests for 11 months in 1/2 new oak.
2015 Port of Syrah from Santa Ynez Valley, fortified wine with brandy. Enjoy with dessert or have it as an aperitif.
This wine offers a wonderfully elevated perfumed nose of cherries, rose petal and nutmeg. There is a bright cherry/strawberry nose, with a hint of raspberry, spice, pie cherry, sage and toffee that are classic to the Theresa-Noelle vineyard. Mouth watering flavors of cherries, strawberry, root beer, rose petal and toasted vanilla beans give way to the balanced acidity. The prosperous textural mouth feel helps to carry the rich and round tannins that follow through long into the finish.
Our Summerland Wolff Vineyard Pinot Noir shows lovely depth, length and a style unique to Edna Valley AVA. An aromatic
bouquet of oak and red fruit on the nose, gives way to hints of dried roses. A youthfulness is present , however, reveals itself on
the palate, encompassing distinct flavors of bright raspberry, dried tobacco and exotic spice. A versatile pairing with food, it
would do as well with a delicate dish of scallops and truffled risotto as with a more succulent duck dressed with fig sauce.
